Today’s Colombia culture is a well-preserved tribute to the nation’s past. Very much a melting pot of cultures, Colombian society is wound from the threads of African, Spanish, and indigenous populations for a mix of various skin tones, music beats, flavors and architecture.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about Colombian culture is the way the government and its people have embraced their identity, visible in the numerous museums, art galleries, theaters, restaurants, and iconic landmarks. For those familiar to Central and South America, this comes in many cases as a surprise: the foresight and presence of mind to value and cherish what makes the nation unique. Colombia culture can be seen in all parts of the country, though its often most concentrated and commercialized in the cities.
